Sunday marked the beginning of National Infertility Awareness Week® coordinated by RESOLVE The National Infertility Association. Infertility is described as being unable to conceive. Approximately 7.3 million couples in the United States alone are struggling with trying to conceive.

Awareness is a powerful tool, many studies this year shed light into the level of awareness women have about their cycles, tracking their cycles, and ovulation. Another study revealed that many women really underestimate their fertility “clock”. The hard truth is that a 30 year old woman has actually under a 30% chance of conceiving each month. A 40-year old has approximately a 10% chance! You can read all about the survey here:

When should you visit a physician to discuss alternative options to natural conception? If you are under 35 and have not conceived within a year you should speak with your physician. The time-frame changes to six months or less if you are 35 and older.

This year Rinovum® will be discussing natural fertility and conception aids on Wednesday, April 24th at 7 AM ET on The Balancing Act airing on Lifetime TV. This brief segment discusses the “fertility window”, current alternative options and The Stork® (our first product focused on conception, to learn more visit

 National Infertility Awareness Week® (

National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW) is a movement that began in 1989. The goal of NIAW is to raise awareness about the disease of infertility and encourage the public to understand their reproductive health. In 2010 National Infertility Awareness Week became a federally recognized health observance by the Department of Health and Human Services. National Infertility Awareness Week will be held from April 21 to April 27.

For the past three years, RESOLVE has challenged the infertility blogging community to break the silence of infertility. Click here to discover this year’s theme and how you can get involved.

About Rinovum® Women’s Health

Who We Are: A privately held women’s health company dedicated to bringing products into the market that will enhance women’s lives and empower them to take charge of their health. While developing our first product, The Stork™, we discovered that women are faced with a multitude of issues related to nutrition, fertility and general women’s health. In their pre-teen years these issues begin with the onset of puberty, they continue with women during their fertile years and into the later stages of their lives. We aim to provide products that are easy-to-use, safe and a more economical way for a woman to address some of these issues.

Our first focus is an Rx device driving towards a direct-to-consumer device for reproductive health to aid in natural fertility and conception in the privacy of the patients’ home. Our mission with The Stork™ is to give women and couples healthcare products that will help them reach their reproductive goals. The device is intended to aid in conception for those suffering from common fertility difficulties:  male infertility (low sperm count, low sperm motility), hostile vaginal environment and unexplained infertility.
